Orchestra "Information Report"

An orchestra is a group of people that play lots of different instruments. An orchestra has a conductor that makes sure that everyone is doing the right thing. The orchestra is separated into four musical families. The families names are strings , brass , percussion and woodwind.

One of the orchestra's families are the string instruments. The strings instruments are played by plucking  or rubbing the strings with a bow.  My favourite string instrument is a harp.

Another family in the orchestra is percussion. The percussion family is played by striking with a drum sticks or shaking . A snare drum and xylophone are instruments from the percussion family.

The woodwind family makes music by blowing through a mouth piece . The woodwind family use to be made of wood.

Lastly, there is the brass section. The french horn is made out of metal and very shiny. All instruments in the brass family are made of metal.

When all these musical families are combined in an orchestra they make extraordinary music.
